Jennifer Ann Cook is the creator and owner of Jennifer Ann, LLC, a Texas-based online shop that designs, manufactures and sells a broad array of chic, classy baby apparel, including leggings, onesies, shorts, bloomers, dresses, headwraps, beanies, blankets, lovies and bibs, any of which can be personalized with a child’s name or a meaningful word or phrase. These products are ideal for going-home (from the hospital) outfits and make great keepsakes. Jennifer Ann was created on March 1, 2013, just over two years ago, when her first child, Boston, was just two-and-a-half years old. Having spent a few years blogging and DIYing with a focus on motherhood and babies, Jennifer discovered that the homemade baby clothing market didn’t have a shop providing personalized items. Then and there, Jennifer destined to create that shop. Using a still-new-and-in-the-box sewing machine her mother had gifted her a few years earlier, she taught herself to sew, designed some fabric, cut it into piece parts and sewed it into the first pair of Jennifer Ann leggings.
About one month later, Jennifer Ann had grown so much that its production was outsourced to a large manufacturing facility. Today, because of Jennifer’s superb creativity, hard work ethic and undying entrepreneurial spirit, Jennifer Ann has sold more than 10,000 items all around the world and amassed a loyal following of more than 27,700 Instagrammers. Select Jennifer Ann products are sold in the NYC-based uber-high-fashion baby furniture store Bellini, and a few celebrity children have been publicly photographed wearing Jennifer Ann leggings or wrapped in a Jennifer Ann blanket. Also, very recently, Jennifer Ann products were featured on the “Bobbie’s Buzz” segment on NBC’s The Today Show, and Jennifer has been approached with a multitude of additional opportunities to showcase her products on a national level. This past October, Jennifer and her husband Jeremy, a trial attorney in Dallas, welcomed their second son, Navy, into their family. With a four-and-a-half year old and a five-month old in the house, Jennifer stays organically inspired to create new product lines that are not only adorable, but also functional and durable. Jennifer is grateful for the success.
